Well the big day arrived! Got together with a few neighbors and friends on a perfect crisp fall morning. We had a dozen in our little orange army spread out to cover half of a huge feild of chest high CRP grass. 16 birds was the count for the morning with I believe only one wounded and unrecovered ( I hate to lose birds!).

Afterwards we enjoyed a chili feed and some good natured ribbing for any missed shots. Had a great day!

Cant beat a good GSP, you use the labs for flushing ? Been hearing about pointing labs, wasnt sure how well they work.
Yeah that crp is hard on a person! Every one including the dogs were pretty well pooped by noon.
The labs are flushers, that little chocolate was her first time out, she unfornately hurt her paw somehow and had to go to vet today. Mines been limping for two weeks so I didn't work him too long.
Pheasant dinner? Come on over , we'll go out and get some fresh ones!
