From the post I was asking about how to seal a piece of driftwood. I got er all sealed up and headed to Rick223's yesterday to have him put er all together for me with the fish.

He hauled his old porch to the middle of backyard and decided to turn it into his taxidermy shop. It's actually pretty handy.

They are still closing up the inside with old lumber but's turning out kinda cool.
Rick223 going to town on the fish

He actually mounted the fish for me a couple years ago, but I stored it until I found a piece of wood I liked. By then Rick had some fin repair to do. :doh2:

Just seeing the thing come back to life, I started breaking into a cold sweat and having flashbacks. Pretty soon a started trembling and I couldnt look away. Reliving that day over and over in my mind, setting the hook on this mother bass. Pretty soon just like a convulsion, I started to go through the motions of the day the fight was ON!
Rick was NOT AMUSED! :innocentwhistle:

So I went out to the car and grabbed this.

And after a couple of those I looked out the window and said, hey Rich, look at this!

He nods and grins and points out something I had missed, saying yeah?, look at THIS.

That turned out to be rather exhausting so we decided to dip into a few of these.

Which didnt cure much cause with full bellys and a cooler of beer what else was there to do but look back over and watch these?

Oh the Mount?!!
Yeah, yeah..... it turned out awesome

So just what is it you mounted .  The fish is way cool  :bowingsmilie:.  I actually like the size of the hole in the beef head .
I say what I think not think what I say.

Rich mounted the fish skin to the form quite a while back, and I stored it until I found a piece of driftwood I liked to mount that too

The beef head is actually a buffalo skull. And the hole is from a 30-06
One of his customers had raised the thing and when it was time they put it down with a 30-06 and then asked Rich to do a shoulder mount on it.

(Whats a shoulder mount)
A mount that begins at the front of an animals shoulders. Sometimes, but incorrectly, called a head mount.
