This one came in head long full of piss & vinegar barely 20 feet off the deck. He didn't get out alive!!  :eyebrow:

10 for the Am hunt but only 8 made it on the front page. The other 2 crashed & burned in the frozen swamp behind me with a resounding thud.  :laf:
The one that is totally wrecked in this pic is the one that was screaming at me.  :yoyo:

I bout spit my drink outta my nose when I seen this next one!!  :laugh2:

This one spun in. There was no survivor.  :nono:

Thats a cool crash and burn photo. So what do ya do with them? Leave them lay? Dispose of them? Make pie?  :alscalls:

Did you have trouble spotting them .  Pretty wild that you got them to shoot yet.  Them are such sissy birds when it comes to cold.  Good job too :yoyo:.

I'm wondering if your thinking of a different bird Barry, cause we are covered up in them too. But it's nothing out of the norm. Ours seem a bit bigger then the ones pictured is about the only difference.

Jim the crows leave here before the blue birds and robins.  Their bigger cousins the Raven are much more cold tolerant as they never leave except to go further North.

Glad you all liked the pics. Those crows are finicky about having their picture taken & not every one of them will lay down for it.   :nono: :nono:

Barry-- We have crows here year round too. Altho at times there aren't very many. This AM I had 6 flocks of 50 or more birds come in.  :madd: That makes it tougher. It's a lot nicer when they come in a few at a time like they do in the late AM. Our cold here in Ohio isn't nearly what you experience up there. Most of December it never got above 29* here. Is it safe to say that's about 25*-30* warmer than your average for December??   Spotting them is rather easy. If they are above the background terrain they can be seen at 400yds flying in. Most generally they always let their presence known. Some clear to the bitter end.  :laf:

Todd-- I'll be shipping a crow pie your way. I hope you like it. It's full of lips & peckers!!!!   :laugh2: :laugh2:  Actually if there's a groundhog hole nearby I'll stuff em in there for insulation.  :eyebrow:

Thanks VV!! I woke up @ 3:30 this AM & finally decided around 4:20 to give up trying to sleep. Glad I did.

Which pic Jim!! The blasted beak!!  :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:  This was all I heard on the way in  :fingerx: :fingerx: :mad3: :mad3: ,,,, :mad3: :mad3: :holdon:  :shock2: :sad3: :doh2: :sick2:

Glen,

It does look like you have ended the year in style.  That first bird looks like it was hit by a semi and left along the road.
