:laf: :laf:  I have no idea either.  The picture is from a co-workers trail cam.  There's another spot on his left shoulder just like it. I'm wondering if maybe he didn't get an antler broken off in him or maybe ran into a thorn tree in the dark while escaping danger.

Think I figured it out. One of Cam's pups had a run in with a tire while it was still on a truck.  :doh2: (Didn't kill him, but he did get skin up pretty good) On his front leg he had a round spot of road rash. Last night he was sleeping in front of me and I noticed it had started scabbing over and looked just like the spots on the deer. So I am going to guess road rash scabs.

Aug. 3, 2007

"U. S. Congressman Duncan Hunter (R-AC) today announced the introduction of the"Teddy Roosevelt Bring Back Our Public Landa Act" in the U. S. House of Representatives. The legislation seeks to reduce costs incured by out-of-states American outdoorsmen who hunt exclusively on federal property."

Says Cong. Hunter: "My bill therefore says this: NO STATE MAY CHARGE MORE THAN $200 FOR A BIG GAME LICENCIES, SPECIFICLLY ELK, DEER, ANTELOPE, AND BEAR FOR HUNTING THAT IS CARRIED OUT EXCLUSIVELY ON NATIONAL FOREST OR BLM FEDERAL LAND."

I don't have the bill number yet but am looking for it.

Hunter's full comentents cane be found at: www.dnr.sc.gov. Click on forums and go to deer hunting, under ineresting ledgislation.
