Diane wanted to go look for the Eagles yesterday afternoon. We didn't find them but we did run across a few of the other local critters.

Nice spike buck.

Another decent buck 500yds off the road.

A nice doe & her fawn.

And this sonofagun!! This coyote was heading over to the weedline into the wind. And the doe and/or her fawn were the intended victims. Of course this is just my theory on the events that we witnessed.

They were all from an idling truck. No time to set the tripod up. The coyote was barely 100yds off the road. I tried to zoom just a little bit. I think that's where the blur came from. Those darn things don't give you much time to shoot em with a gun or a camera. The rest of the pics are Diane's. The deer were skittish & wouln't stand still like they normally do.

Al-- That's probably the 4th or 5th coyote we've seen while out driving around. But the 1st one we could get the camera on. And besides,, Glen shoots straight & that's why they stay back.  :alscalls: :alscalls:

Good pictures!  That coyote had a pretty long frame and would look good in full winter coat with a crosshair on his shoulder.   :congrats: :congrats:
