All right! Now we need some calls. Maybe from 3 different artisians! That way they get some more exposure, can show off their stuff, and know they have a guaranteed sale at the (quick) end of the Series. The cost of the calls need to be kept to about $20 a piece. That way B204 and I will be able to afford this wager.
Any of you custom call artists who would like to throw some fuel on this impending bonfire, please feel free to use this thread to show your offering. We can always be sure that whatever is going to be put up for the prize will be a one of a kind and definitely a collectors item.

Schilling may have good stats post season but this year is different. He's really showing his age. I cant believe they're going with him game 2 and picthing Dice K game 3, must be Schilling cant handle the thin air.
Now on the other hand, the Rockies game 4 are going with Aaron Cook who hasnt pitched since August ? Thats pretty crazy right there. The rest of their staff is pretty inexperienced, i'm curious to see how they handle it all.
I know how they will handle it, they will lose. I agree about Wakefield, he is hit or miss.

first of all, there will NOT be 6 more games. If the Rockies don't get swept in 4, it will probably be 5. I would like to see it go 6 so When Boston wins they are at home but I don't forsee it going that far.
I can't wait to see those calls. I know how nice a Bonker is, I can't wait to see the others.
So I am watching game 2 and all of a sudden the cable goes out!!!! It still works on my Bedroom TV that has no cable box but nuthin on my big screen in the living room.

I'm not so sure the next three games are going to go the way the first two did. Game 5 may be a Sox win, but 3 and 4 don't look to promissing for the Sox.
Someone is going to sit, either Yuke or Pappy, and the pitching for games 3 and 4 is very suspect.
And, big as that outfiled is, I would think they will have to play Crisp, which again hurts the Sox lineup.
I only hope the Rockies put a guy on the mound who can throw strikes and not scare the batters to death. I am really surprised there wasn't a fight after the second ball went over a Sox hitters head.

I don't know who they are gonna sit out but they should start Ellsbury in the out field. He has better range than manny.
Manny's bat won't be in the line up but Ellsbury comes up with hits when they are needed.

When I met my girlfriend back in the day, I noticed that she had a yankees hat displayed in her back car window.
I quickly interrogated her as to what in Christ was she thinkin. She tried to tell me that she was a fan so I questioned her Yankee knowledge.
After finding that she wasn't a true fan, that her family has always been. I still proceded to tell her that we can no longer speak just for having that hat in her car. Well long story short, she stalked me because I am super HOT!!! :iroll:
I told her back then that the Evil Empire is crumbling and she will never see the World series wins that the Yankees had in the past. She laughed me off but know knows that I was onto sumptin.
Are the Yankees a good ball club? ya. Do I think they cheat and manipulate?? YES I DO. But I will say, the Yankees had and have and will have alot of good talent on their teams.
But that LOSER A-ROD is just plain trouble. Ya, he can hit, but he brings bad drama where ever he goes and Even if He ends up in a Boston uniform, I will still hate him!!
I truely feel bad for Torre!! He is a good guy and one hell of a Manager!!!!.

Yeah yeah yeah, the Rockies let me down.
I have to admit, the Sox got hot when they needed to and made a few nice plays in the field too. They played a good game.
You think this is it for the Rockies? Do you think that their moral is in the toilet after the last two games?
If they win tonight it will be a repeat of a few years ago, going 7 and 0 to combe back and win the ALCS and then win the series.
The ALCS was a much better series than this has turned out to be. I guess it just goes to show that the Rockies are a good 500 ball club that got hot during September and then fizzled. So far, they don't look like they are in the same class as the Red Sox.

By the way, old Dyke pitched 3 good innings not 6. Maybe 4. It was pretty cool to see him get a hit though. He is still a way overrated pitcher. The Sox think he will be great next year. I don't know. They are going to have to do something though. Their pitching staff is going to take a hit.
Pappy got a hit and made a play at first. He's a good DH. He aint no everyday player. Not anymore.
Base running? Manny would have been safe if he would just get a hair cut.

Actually, Manny was safe. If you watched to replay from different angles then you would clearly see that he was safe.
Not like it mattered in the long run but if the tables where turned and that was a Rockie sliding into home and was safe, I would say the same thing. Fair is fair.

Cocobolo one piece with a tapered mouth and exhaust. Pictured with a 22-250 shell as size reference. as I was inspecting this one, I found a few flaws in the wood I did not notice when I was finishing it. (I think the kids dropped it on the concrete floor) I need to refinish it to get rid of the imperfections, so it may take a few days to send it off. I tried to get decent pics of the ends but they did not turn out worth a shit with my picture taking skills. This is a different shape for me. Let me know what you think.

I don't know what the tin plated brass is all about :confused: What do you suggest?
I like the sound of the tin plated brass, it gives a nice raspy sound. I can't tell the difference as far as volume. I have had problems with needing to replace them more often than the stainless, I do not know why that is. It may be due to the softer metal used. I have also noticed they seem temp sensitive. I think the brass may move with different temps (like a thermometer) I don't know. I guess what I am saying is I like the sound of the brass I just don't know about the durability. I'll put the brass reed in it and send a spare stainless one. Sound good? let me know.
