Post by: nastygunz on March 06, 2023, 12:12:45 PM
This last storm was kind of girly, we only got 14 inches :innocentwhistle:

Love the pics!

One time some 15 years ago I saw a tom turkey walking on snow a good 7-8 feet deep beside Highway 3 right on the summit of Stag Leap Pass, over a mountain range in British Columbia.  Never did figure out what he was doing up there.  It was late winter/early spring and the river valleys were starting to green up a bit.

This one has been living the good life this winter, hitting the birdfeeders and the boss of the house has been giving him grain and bread.

P.S. Chompy the squirrel says hi Jimbo ;)

Jim, Weather guessers around here are saying the same thing - 4 to 6 inches by Friday evening. Hopefully if they are correct about the amount they will be wrong about it being a heavy wet snow. I actually love blowing snow from the sidewalks around my neighborhood, but if it is heavy  I have to use a shovel and that means that my back is out just doing my small sidewalk.

We call 4 to 6 inches a heavy frost  :innocentwhistle:

I don't doubt that at a all.
