I like to use those for Texas Rigging a Senko.
Why? Because the point on the hook is level with the eye of the hook and it's a lot less likely to poke through the Senko and get snagged.
Stand the hook on it's edge, on a table or flat surface and you'll see what I mean.

I use them on drop shot rig. We also use them catfishing.
I use them for catfish. Most of the time they work as advertised and hook em in the corner of the mouth. I have never used them for bass.
