My sister just asked me to build her some nesting boxes . "Do you have any scraps or cutoffs at work?" :doh2: Herrrrre we go.
She said she priced the stuff at Menards and refuses to pay $200 for some cut offs.
Lumber is so out of hand right now it's disgusting.
My brother just priced out a new front deck at his house and decided to let the old one hang on for another year Haha.
Yeah it's crazy. I think a piece of half inch OSB at Menards used to be 8 bucks. Maybe 10. I heard it's up to 50 right now.
As you know I work for a prefab home company. We have quite an extensive backlog which means by the time we get to your house the material price has already gone up exponentially. The surcharges were being forced to add on to these already bought homes is causing us to lose them as the customer retracts from the sale.

2x4x8 yesterday was over $12.00. Probably around $3.00 before all the crap hit the fan.
I blame it all on Joe Biden, not sure why but I am blaming it on him anyway! :alscalls:
Todays homeowner paid for eleven,, 12' 2x4's AND 5 sheets of 5/8" OSB!! I have no idea what that cost was & didn't ask.
