Title: Annual Turkey Shoot(VIDEO ADDED)
Post by: cb223 on May 20, 2007, 09:04:07 AM
Every spring a friend of mine hosts a shoot at his property. It started out as a turkey hunting weekend but they never got any turkeys. So it turned into just a weekend away with ALOT of shooting.

Some of the guys are class 2 and 3 dealers. Others just have a curio and relics license. There were many many machine guns and alot of other really cool stuff.

There was 2 M-2's, 2 macs, 2 9mm smiths, M-16, a 20mm anti tank rifle, a barrett .50, 2 homebuilt .50's, a mini-14 and many others that don't come to mind right now.

I can't forget the tannerite! We put a 3-gallon jug of tannerite under a stripped out car! When that went off I can honestly say that car was close to 100 feet in the air, it was above the tree line!(before everyone starts bitching at me about safety, it was at the end of a 300 yard range A LONG WAYS OUT)

I thought you guys might like to see some of the pictures.

GAHD!!! that looks like a blast  :yoyo:

I bet there aint any signs of wildlife for 15 surrounding miles after all that firepower rattling.  :nono:

Anyone have a video camera? I love to hear some clips of  some of those, like the M-2  :yoyo:

CB,

Looks like a really good time.  Did anyone, besides your son, get a turkey?

Jerry, A few of my friends got turkeys during the early seasons.

Jim, Yes there is video. I hope to get it tomorrow along with some more pics. I'll try to figure out how to post them.

CCP, 4 or 5 of those guys were at Knob Creek. I was invited to go with them but it didn't work out! They all said the mini guns were the highlight!

Chad,

Sorry about that.  I was trying to make a joke.  The title of the thread is Annual Turkey Shoot, but then the pics were not the normal firearms used for taking turkeys.

The next big machine gun shoot at Knob Creek is October 12, 13, 14,  2007.  They do it twice a year.  April and October.
