We couldn't figure out what kinda critter this was. Any ideas?

Looks like a crocogator to me!
Bear?
It's not a Bear, Coyote, Skunk, Fox etc, because the nasal cavity comes out on top of the head. I've never seen anything like it.
Also the eyes sockets are SO close to the jaw joints it's amazing.
Dont know bout the skull but the can is a BUDLIGHT........ :yahoo:
I'll go with american alligator, maybe A pet dumped dwarf caiman or such. If all else fails it must be A rabid wombat. ~KT
wombat?
My guess is sturgeon....... where did you find it?
Actually Rick223 found it while mushroom hunting up here
Well, I can't tell from the pics, but it does look like there are any teeth or root holes where teeth would have been. Plus no mammal or reptile that I know of has exposed nasal passages, so I'm guessing they really aren't nasal passages as in 'passages to get air to lungs, however a sinus cavity like that seems to point to something that is highly dependant on smell. While it has a crock shape, crocks nasal passages are not exposed.
All seems to point towards a pointie nosed fish, dependant on smell, and while having a significant skull mass, not having significant teeth..... Pointie nose bottom feeder of good size....... yup, my guess is sturgeon.
I'll have to ask him how close he was to the river. I know there's a pile of Sturgeon in the Wisconsin River.
Bout a mile from the river. That's pretty wild that something would drag it that far away especially considering it's size ey?
And there are no bears here to speak of.
Teradactile?

Teradactile?
How many dictionaries did you use to find that one, Weedwalking guy? :roflmao:
Maybe you have found the missing link????  Or what Stu said. Yeah, what Stu said.
Well I firgured it out with the help of Joey Williams, Director of Education at Skulls Unlimited.
Its a turkey pelvis! :roflmao:

I was thinkin gator-gar, but Sturgeon sounds more like it.
Dang..... :doh2:
Well.... :wo: .... kind of a skull...... Pope's nose and all that :eyebrownod:
Well then, it's official- Jim can't tell cranium from rectum :roflmao: ~KT
^^^^^ ^^^^^ ^^^^^
:roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao:
kiyitec ,
Good observation
Nope your right, its official.
Maybe cause they both fit together so well. I mean I usually got one stuck in the other :roflmao:
I don't know..... ole Rick might have stuck that sturgeon skull up that turkey's butt just to throw us off :holdon:
Guess we won't be inducted into the order of the bone yard very soon :readthis: :roflmao:
roflmao you guys just crack me up some days :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao:
oh ya thanks Jim now I need a new keyboard again cuz I spewed coffee all over this one :hahaha: :hahaha: :hahaha:
This whole bunch might get inducted into some other special society, but it won't be the bone yard. It'll be a guarded facility, with high walls and padded rooms. :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: We's crazy, baby!! :eyebrow:
You guys are cracken me up! :laf:
I never would have figured that out.
Ya know Rick, you could prolly make A million filming that fish up the turkey trick. With all the sick bastides's roaming the net with their wives credit cards you're sure to make A killin'.
Well heck, we already have coydogs, Zdonks, platypus, rabid wombats, and PM mods, so I don't think an interracial union between A sturgeon and A turkey is that far off.
Jim- thanks for not taking my name out of the hat in the drawing for that comment. Or did that wonderfull little sweatheart beat ya to it? :doh2: ~KT

Dont let that guy that fancys deer in the ditch find out about this it might give some new ideas. :puke:
Well the first thing that came to mind is Sturkeons
:roflmao: :roflmao:
:roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :highclap: :highclap: :highclap: :yoyo: :yoyo:
I did pull it out KiYi...but she said if that's how your going to be then he's automatically the winner.
I just stomped off with a mad on, and said I was going Sturkeoning :sneer:
:roflmao: :eyebrownod:
I want to go sturkin sturkeon or whateever :laf:
Did she ground you for that temper tantrum?
I believe A European mount is in order, ought to look good over the fireplace. If anyone asks about it you just casually mention
"that's A piece of *$$ I got off A turkey" then nonchalantly continue on with the previous conversation.
~KT
:laf: :laf:
Good Idea! :bowingsmilie:
It will happen :roflmao:
Dr. Stu...The Science Guy...That sounds pretty believable to me. I know it isn't bear or any other mammal that I can think of, not even a pterodactyl :roflmao: :roflmao:
Steve
I swore I'd never speak of this again, but...... :nofgr:
It's my x-girlfriend who tried to pawn my Bushmaster. :argh:
I trust that we'll keep that among the fins&fur Community.
:roflmao: That's all that was left uh Bushy
you know how it goes once those critters get to work.
I just performed a calling sequence "distressed bimbo" and she was haulled off by a hored of critters.
:roflmao:   :eyebrow: Does it have a bullet hole between the eyes? :shck:

Every time I have seen A Euro mount since that post I have thought of this. DAMN did I just quote myself?
Did it ever make it to the wall, Rick? ~Kiyitec
