Opening morning in Kentucky

I was in the tree stand at 5:20 this morning. About 7:00 I saw a couple of does about 75 yards away in the woods. I was going to take the bigger of them when I spotted this guy following them: 

First blood for the new Encore pistol.


This is my best deer to date.

How did the new barrel perform? Was it a down in his tracks or did you have to track him a bit? :wo:

He ran about fifty yards and went down. Kicked a bit and was done.

Thanks guys. I took him to the taxidermist on Monday. It will be months before I get it back, but I'm anxious to see it.
