The cabins at Wranglers campground are available and there are small motels in Aurora, KY close by.

There are lots of birds at LBL.  They can be a challenge due to the high hunting pressure.  They are called to a lot.

Good luck.

Plenty of Birds there George. Calling techniques to use depend on who you talk too. But most lean toward very conservative calling or wide open agressive calling such as fighting purrs.

Hunting pessure is another thing in there. You have a lot of walk ins and they sometimes walk right in to your setup when You have a bird working.

Ticks are another problem. Way too many of the damned things so be prepared. Most shops around the LBL sell repellants that work.

You can talk to Boyd Smith through his website, Cumberland River calls. He is the most sucsesful turkey hunter I know in the region. Jimmie

Oops!  I forgot to tell ya about the lone star ticks!  Jimmie ain't exaggerating none.  Be prepared!  They will eat ya alive!
