Nice. Is that aanywhere near the LBL? Thanks for the pics as I get a bit better idea of the challenges you guys face coyote hunting :yoyo:. Not to much traffic there :wink:. I would have spent the day on the top of that mountain just looking as that is awesome. Enough water that I'm surprised you don't call them out there for a clear shot :innocentwhistle:. Beautiful place you have to go with the "old" truck :biggrin:

Many years ago, glaciers made up of fallen snow became compressed into thickened ice masses. When this becomes too heavy, gravity causes the ice to flow very slowly, and the action of the ice cuts out plains and hills while traveling, picking up all the rock and other material in its way. The power of the ice cuts out softer material and grinds on the harder stuff. And land is shaped in this way.
Hills are basically formed by rivers :wink:
Mountains are caused by plates under the ocean.
The outer skin of the earth both land and sea rides on gigantic “platesâ€. Over millions of years, these moving plates collide with one another.
Two plates can press against each other until the land is lifted and folded over itself.
Also, near volcanoes, one plate can push on top of another one. As one plate slides downward into the earth, it begins to melt. The melted rock rushes upward along cracks and weak spots, bursting out as fiery volcanoes. You can see a huge “ring of fire†where volcanoes circle the Pacific Ocean.
Plates can stretch until they crack and slide, forming mountains.
