I'm ready!! The water should be warm enough for a good bite this time back.
Miss my pike fishing though.
Looks like you are having fun.

Jim just uses those for bait. Or were you thinking of bait and just didn't mention it?

Deer stand fishing, nastygunz. Deer stand fishing :laf:
Been there, done that
In Lake Champlain pickerel, northern pike, carp, garfish, bowfin, mullet, shad, suckers, bullhead, and other cull fish may be taken from March 25 to May 25 by shooting and spearing in other than spawning areas designated under section 4140 of this title. For the purposes of this subsection, Lake Champlain includes all connected waters at the same level.
In fact that background in your pictures looks exactly like the kind of place to shoot fish flooded timber.
I'm thinking those pike, pickerel, and such would make great pickled fish. The vinegar would soften all the small bones.

They do!
My brother made several batches from a recipe he got out of a Field and Stream magazine and then quit doin it. Just did it long enough to get me hooked. I told him I'd bring him some more Pike he says, "I'll give you the recipe".
I DO want to try it if I get the time.
