I was told by a friend after I bought this at the meat market that its actually a steelhead trout. [emoji46] I'm not familiar with a lot of salmon and trout so I wouldn't know. It's still going to be good though LOL
Cooking on a cedar plank on the grill...under way.

Wwwwwow!
I can honestly say I've never had any fish that tasted this good. And I love fish.
Absolutely incredible

Then why not keep some?  Hhhmmm

What is the cedar supposed to add, besides ash's I mean?
I say what I think not think what I say.

I do keep some from time to time. Except Bass.
The cedar smokes the fish as it cooks it. Gives it an unmatched smokey flavor.
I've always heard about this but I've never actually done it. I can honestly say I've never had anything that tastes this incredible. I would take this over a well-seasoned and grilled ribeye. And that's saying a lot coming from me. My God it was good.

I rubbed it down with this smoked seasoning, which is made up of sugar, salt, onion, garlic, dried maple syrup, Applewood, molasses and hickory flavoring.
Then as it grilled on low I sprinkled the fish with a lemon juice.. soy sauce mixture a couple different times until it was done.
I will definitely be doing this again! Wow
