My wife makes a fabulous venison stew, a thick and hearty version, and one of our family's favorite meals.  If any lasts till the second day it is even tastier.  Deer, bear, moose, elk and mountain goat all got the treatment.  Bear never was that great but the others were superb.  The Rocky Mountain goat was extra tasty in stew (and about the only way to eat the tough ones I brought home!)
