Title: Drone view of the local flood
Post by: FinsnFur on April 22, 2023, 05:25:46 PM
I wish I had footage from before the flood. Most of you will get nothing from this because you dont know what it looks like normally.
I found it ironic that while I was uploading this to youtube, I noticed that 6 months ago I uploaded a video showing how devastatingly low the river was. Barges shut down and sand and vegetation everywhere out there.

At least some of the people were smart enough to build a barrier around their house. Nice video by the way.

I do not believe those houses and trees are supposed to be in the water. Guess it could always have been worse.

This place is a resort with year round residence. Being so close to the water and the frequency of the flood, most cabins are on elevated foundations.
The big brown building with the sand dunes around it is actually the office. They DO live there also.
The water is all the way up around that place now and still rising.
it's going to be interesting for sure.
Prairie DuChien is starting to look like Louisiana. Neighborhoods under water, and boats in the streets
