I cant build a shooting range but I can build the kids a pitching mound in the yard.  I got a free load of dirt and we threw it together wed.   I still gotta order the mound and plate yet but you get the idea from the pic's.   I was really waiting for someone to give me some bullchit about needing a permit to build it.  Anymore in town you need a permit for anything you do   :rolleye:   Nobody said didly anyhow

Look at the mound..

Lookin back at where home plate will be

Gonna put up a small fence behind home plate so I dont have to chase balls.
Devon had a blast helping me, he's a good little worker !!!

I see the snow shovel there, did ya have to shovel the area off before construction began?

I'm sure they'll enjoy it. Especially knowing that Dad's supporting there attempts like this. :congrats:

my free dirt wasnt sifted, I raked all the stone out of it up into the snow shovel like a big dust pan  :eyebrow:

That's really cool. :thumb2: That reminds me of a baseball movie I saw once.... build it and they will come.

And if any fool says anything about the dirt pile... it's a flower bed (poor Gardner) :madd: or the backstop to your new rifle range (good shot).  :yoyo:
