One law Really catches my eye

*Accompany: to go along with another person while staying within a distance from the person that enables uninterrupted, unaided visual and auditory communications
If I understand this correctly I am not allowed to sit with Kurtis help him spot his target or tell him it is ok to take the shot
But I am suppose to teach him how to hunt :confused:
I think you're reading it wrong Bill. I believe it means that you MUST BE close enough to him that he can see and hear you with the naked eye and unaided ear. If he needs binos to see you or a walkie talkie to hear you are too far away. I think they want you right next to him. In Kentucky it reads like this:
Adults must accompany hunters ages 15 and under who deer, elk, turkey or bear hunt with a gun. The adult shall remain in a position to take immediate control of the youth’s firearm.
Get up there next to him where you want to be and teach him to hunt Grandpa. :highclap: :highclap:

I believe Pat is correct Bill. They want you to be close enough to talk them thru the shot,, or passing of. Set down with Kurtis & teach him YOUR way of hunting!! :yoyo:

Yeah I agree with the others. Just remember that laws are written by government employees and politicians and are not suppose to be understood. Good luck tomorrow.
