just as it was getting day light we seen a buck out the back door.hurried up got dressed and tried to call him back but he was allready chaseing a doe .as we were calling we saw a red fox then he left he came back again but this time closer.then we moved to this spot

Kurtis had a hard time getting motivared this morning till about 6:45 when we seen a nice buck chasing a doe then he couldn't get dressed fast enough.The red fox we seen came in to about 40 yards the first time and about 40 ft the second time but I let it go cause I didn't check the laws to see if season is open on them yet.
yes I chased Kurtis out the door before breakfast and now we will eat and get back after it

Barry I didn't find my arrows so I borrowed this rig from a friend
We didn't see anything the rest of the day I think the wind really done us in but Sunday we will try again
It is a tough job to keep Kurtis interested when there ain't much going on
That wind was KILLER today!! We had one doe finally come in at last light and she was so jumpy from the wind I let her go....I did not want her to jump string as I am now hunting with my old recurve.... :biggrin:
You betcha it was windy. Once the wind kicked in, we gave it up til the last couple hours of light.
I guess we are done hunting this weekend afyer the ants got in Kurtis' pants we walked the 40 acers looking for squirrels ,rabbits,or even a ground hog we kicked up one rabbit and Kurtis is still a little slow on the draw and never got a shot off.
Called the fox in again this mornng and watched him go on by
