Title: 55 grain psp
Post by: 220swift on November 12, 2009, 08:38:15 AM
Back when you could buy reloading supplies on e bay i bought 500 psp 55 gr. bullets. I"ve shot them with every load i can think of but they will not shoot good. I have shot them in guns that are very accurate. I shoot a Savage model 12 that shoots every bullet very accurate but it won"t shoot these. Has anyone else had this problem with them?

If they are the Hornady 55gr PSP's my Brother had trouble with them in his 222 til he slowed them down. They shot lights out from a slow running 222 down to the Hornet for him. HTH

These bullets are Wincester. Another thing I have noticed about them is they allways have a lower velocity than other 55 grain bullets. I have been reloading over 40 years and I can"t explain this. I have shot them from 3400fps to 3850fps and about 1.5 inch groups is the best I can get at 100 yards.
