Title: My First Laminated Call
Post by: blacky on December 01, 2009, 01:38:37 PM
This is my first attempt at a laminated pot. I made it for a buddy who gave me the Brazilian and Golden Teak wood. It didn't turn out great but not bad either and does sound good. The striker is Brazilian Teak.
Do you think I should have put a lighter wood on each side of the Golden Teak to make it stand out better?

I think it looks nice Gene. The different woods don't overpower each other. Very smooth transition in color.

Laminated calls sometimes look good and sometimes don't.  This one looks good.  I am sure that Jerry Clyde will be happy.

I like the subtle contrast from the back.  I guess the thin front just needs more looking.

in my experience, I bet it looks perfect in real life vs a photo!!
