Rudy and I spent most of the day out hunting today and another day and no coyote. After getting home and thinking about each set and the way we hunted. It hits me,That darned wind again :madd:.It was shifting from all directions. Here in Ohio we have'nt had even an inch of snow yet it has been fairly warm for winter.I will keep trying and someday my yote will come
Bill
Hang in there,it'll happen.I've been dealing with wind here as well.
You keep working at it, your getting there. And one day it will all happen and you will kick yourself a time or two. It will be so clear to you that you will wonder why you didn't catch on quicker. I still kick myself pretty regular . Every time you go out you learn something whether you saw one or not.
A little trick to stay ahead of the winds. Get high anytime you can. Winds are more consistant from the tops of the hills. And if you choose the right spots to call from it's just as easy to call coyotes up the hill as it is on a flat. Jimmie
I understand your frustration Bill. We haven't had but a couple good days this year for calling and I had to work. I hope after Brent and I return from AZ our Ohio weather returns to normal winter. Bring on consistant wind directions and some cold snowy weather
JD
If it's any consolation Bill, you weren't alone today.
We have a little weather front moving in. I tried to take advantage of it. Here's My hero shots
The pile of coyotes was too large for my lens, so ....I just took me :eyebrownod:

One of the bluffs tops I was calling the edge of.

Hey Jim, Isn't that a coyote just over your right shoulder in your first pic? :shck: :roflmao:
JD
Wouldn't surprise me :laf:
We were hunting a weather front also even though we didn't get one I got to use my calls .and I really enjoy Hunting. so all and all I had fun I have always said if I could make a living Hunting I wouldn't get up and go to the shop in the morning.
Bill
At least you all got out. Weather sure sucked here, wind, rain. Worked in the shop all day, then went and played bluegrass till 4:00am! Now that was fun!
Brent
Jim.........I was noticing that your foxpro kind of sticks out in all that "snow"...........
Yah!, First year there aint been no snow for a long time too :noway:
