Yes it has happened. Something about outfitting my Lathe with $$ worht of duck call turning stuff...
my Christmas came early, with a new friend who l'arned me some duck hunting, a new Benelli Nova Duck gun and some Waders.
If my gloves were good, and my stuff not still damp from yesterday..i would be out there now! hmm, it is 10 degress with wind chill. maybe I am not that much of a duck hunter yet. Aww heck, I want to be out there, but my truck wont make it in the mud to my ponds or the lake access
here are a few pics:
I am on the right, the scary one. decided to start growing a beard after this pic. hehe.

now you're addicted !!! nice birds as well !! Congrats :yoyo: I just got back from looking at the icy river, flock of mallards and geese out there amongst the floating ice chuncks.
Always good to try something new out and now you have another avenue for money to escape down :laf:. Only the one type of duck I recognize in them wonderful pictures but they all look cool. Haven't hunted a duck for years and because of these kinda post's I'm thinking I will again. Up here we hunt them in the field and it can be a blast .
:yoyo: :yoyo: :yoyo: :highclap: :highclap: :highclap: Sounds like FUN!
You guys did good!! Congrats!! :congrats: :congrats:
Nice!! I love the Ringnecks...they are some pretty birds. We only get a few pintails around here every other year or so, but that one sure looks like a nice drake. I am working in the morning tomorrow...then maybe trying an evening duck hunt before our season closes up. Congrats on the nice birds.
Steve
So they DO have ducks in Texas? :congrats:
Thanks for taking us along
Congrats to you and your new friend on the birds ... :yoyo:
