Are those turkeys some kind of mix breed? The color of the plumage is why I ask....
Al as far as I know they are Bronze Breasted Turkeys. Maybe their winter plumage is different :shrug:. I know they are getting mean now.
They look a little different than the eastern wild turkey.....

They look like the old "farm" turkeys that they used to raise for meat. Then the white ones came along and replaced them as the ones to get for the best flavor.

The bronze breast is one of several breed of tame turkey. Plumage is darker than the wild turkey. And they do get meaner than heck if you mess with them any. Especially if there are several gobblers like Barry has there. You can still get these birds as well as bourbons and whites at most any hatchery. Jimmie
