Yes he is.....somewhere.
That call was made by Walt Betts.
I could remember Walt, but couldn't think of his last name. Must be an age thing.
Jerry
 Yeah, I couldnt think of his last name either. But now that I see it in print, I'm thinking he passed didnt he?
Ole Walt Betts, used to go by NVwalt :yoyo:
Yeah, but he didn't pass that I heard of. :wo: His wife who suffered a long time heart issue passed away a lil over a year and a half ago though, and ole Walt vanished a bit. I did manage to chat with him once and he mentioned coming up to go fishing this summer, but haven't heard from him since.
The one I was concerned about was Richard Grantham with all his ailments at his age, I have tried to contact him several times but haven't had any luck.
Ok ok...I'm recalling bits and pieces but aint putting it together.
I havent heard nothing from Grantham he must have stuck with the ship.
Richard unfortunately passed away November 2008.
Thanks Fo is there any links to his info?
Not that I'm aware of.
Richard was from the town I've called home for the past 20 years. He owned and operated a local barber shop and when he retired, moved up the road towards San Antonio (Schertz). Visited with him a few times when he was passing through town to see friends. Nice gentleman.
Yeah, he was a dandy fella for sure. Real bad to hear that but I guess it was kinda expected sonner then later.
wow, I never heard that. Thats too bad.
I never met Richard but I had many opportunities to visit with him on the phone. I'll never forget the ol guys voice.
May he rest in peace.
Richard was always a well respected guy. I'm really glad I got one of the last calls he made himself.
I did not know Richard passed away, man, I feel bad.God bless em'. I had some nice conversations with him years ago. Very nice man.
NV Walt can be found over on the California boards, CPC to be specific.

This is the first I heard of Richard's passing. I too am sorry to hear that. He was a good man, and a excellent call maker. May he rest in peace.
