Title: Snakewood Closed Reed
Post by: armyturner on December 30, 2009, 10:10:39 PM
I sold this call over on another forum, but thought I would show it off here as well. I drilled and prepped the blank for this call over a year ago, then set on a shelf. On more that one occasion I have mounted it on the lathe just to take it off because I could not decide how I wanted it to look. I finally turned it, and this is the outcome. I hope the next one doesn't take me a year to complete.

Very sharp Jeremy! That snakewood can be a pain...any heat from drilling and snap there's a crack!
