Yep, that has to suck !! :sad3: :madd: :sad2:
Then again you could make the worlds shortest hand call. :rolleye:
Could be missin eye too :holdon:
I'm glad to see you have faults Brad  Even though it wasnt really your fault
That was nasty eh. :laf: Stick it together you never know when some [thing you break in your leg+and unit on peoples shoulders] will buy it :doh2:.
:doh2: I hate it when that happens...at least it wasn't a call with the hippo bead. Get back to it!
Steve
I got a PILE of those....... :laf: :laf: :laf:.......Save em all......ya never know when you will get a new use for what ya got left.
I broke 5 in a row recently and realized the bearings were going bad in my head stock and It was beginning to wobble......I shoulda checked it with the dial indicator after the first one but was in a hurry....... :madd:
All ya can do is move on ......It sucks but it will pass....
:laf: I just wanted to whine about it! LOL That's the 1st time it's ever happened to me.... :innocentwhistle:..... :roflmao: Just kiddin, it's just part of it. It didn't really explode almost like it just lifted off! Just a little painful when you have about an hour into something you think is going to be a looker... I told something else on myself if you look at the pic.. (I just noticed) I'm worse than a kid on Christmas on these, you can see where I've rubbed linseed oil on it looking at the figure in the wood....OOOoooo that's pretty!
When I did a lot of draw knife work on turkey calls I would ruin many of them after putting a lot of hours in it.....Frustrating to say the least.
The deer horn calls I do by hand still......same thing.......3-4 hours in something you know you aint making money on and BAM ya blow through the side and gotta find a new antler.... :laf: :laf:
But that's what separates the money makers from the call makers..... :laf: :laf:.....Ya gotta Love doing what ya do. :eyebrownod:
And I can tell.....You Love what you do. :yoyo: :yoyo: :highclap: :highclap:
That piece is still usable. Turn a 1/2" long tenon on it & mate it to some other wood. Gorilla Glue it. It won't go anywhere. Should make a good field call for someone just getting started in the coyote hunting business.
:yoyo: You got that right Al!! :yoyo: Easy to spot a fellow in the same group isn't it bud!
Can't bring myself to Hammer! Just wouldn't feel right. (bandaids never look planned  )
Heck I wouldn't care what it looked like on my lanyard!! :innocentwhistle:
:roflmao: :roflmao:
:nono:
