Thanks guys...never got a chance to log in yesterday. Jerry... :confused: what have ya been smokin'. Thanks for backing me up there Glen. My eye is feeling the best it has in a week and a half. An looking much better finally. Its not 100% yet, but I'll take it. I go back to the doc this morning. If he says it looks better I am hitting the lathe and playing catch up. And hopefully planning my trip to Chincoteague to try and shoot a couple of these...

Its a Surf Scoter Glen...we don't get them around here. You pretty much have to go to the ocean for them. Big water birds... :biggrin:

I knew you'd come through with that  :biggrin:.  That would be a nice bird to see but I'd be afraid of shooting it cause it looks like it might be in a kids cartoon :laf:.

That's cool. Are you trying to get as many different species as you can? You do have a nice collection started.

I don't know if I want to get all of the species or not yet. I am just focusing on some of the cooler species that aren't all that common. I will get some of the more common ones done as well in the future, but only with a good story/reason.

There area also Black Scoter and White-Wing Scoters that are pretty neat looking. My goal for the end of this season is the Surf Scoter and maybe a Brant if we can find any of them around.
