If he wins the election the Dems are planning on voting the health care bill through before he takes office

And that is so wrong

If he wins he needs to get his ass in the car & get to Washington to be sworn in immediately.

He will, but that doesn't mean that the dems will swear him in until they are ready.

My guess is that unless he wins by a large margin this election will be decided by recounts, court challenges and counter challenges.  We may not know who won for several months.

If he wins & they take their good old time swearing him in then how can they vote & pass something with only 99 members & the missing member would be vote #60?? Other than declaring it an emergency & only needing 51 I guess.

I hear the Dems are going to hold back Brown's certification and ram through the health bill before he can vote on it.     That would be a big mistake me thinks.

I don't think so..... Jim Webb (D) Virginia just issued a statement that "it would be wise to wait until Brown is seated" in the Senate before moving on Obamacare.

Translation: Webb cannot be counted on voting for Obamacare before Brown is seated.

Webb sees the writing on the wall and I bet by tomorrow many more Democraps will be smelling the coffee.....

Democratic leaders face new resistance on health reform...... and it's NOT Scott Brown!

How awesome is it that thanks to Kennedy keeling over, he set the stage for the death of this Bolshevik revolution?!!

I imagine he is spinning in his grave right now..... or treading water for eternity.

I sure hope you are right, FOs.   And yes, the irony of Kennedy's death leading to the potential demise of Obamacare is inescapable.

A quick search showed 54% to 46%. Now plus or minus 3% would make it as much as 57%-43% or as little as 51%-49%.  Could a recount be pulled on these numbers? Does Mass have electronic voting or the old chad type machines.

If the count was on the same number (or within 1%), perhaps they could play a game like they did in Minnesota, but Brown won by 110,000+ votes. They have no recourse but to certify the election as quickly as possible. They (Democraps) will be held accountable at the ballot box in November if they screw with Browns seating.

Plus, Coakley conceded.

Just read where Bwaney Frank just put out a statement basically running up the white flag and calling for a new compromise on health care.

I kind of think the practical politicians in the democrap party are going to be on the phone to each other tonight, and the health care bill kind of fades away, perhaps to be replaced by a few targeted measures aimed at portability, pre-existing conditions, etc.

The careerist politicians are not going to commit suicide for Obama, Nancy or Harry, and this makes it pretty obvious what's going to happen to a lot of them if they keep pushing this.....

I love that video.  I have seen some of them in the past, but this one is REALLY sweet.  I wonder what spin the obama camp will have on this one.

Brown's victory speech was really good.  I liked his idea that this is the "peoples seat"!!  I don't think many of them see it that way??  I was flipping through the news channels and Fox was the only one that carried the full victory speech.  MSNBC was making fun of him saying his daughters were available??

The irony is even more delicious..... In 2004 it was Teddy that pushed the MA legislature to change the law, and require a special election to fill a vacated Senate seat. It was a pure political move to prevent Romney from appointing a Republican to fill Kerry's seat, if he won the presidency. If it were not for those shenanigans, the election yesterday in MA would never have happened, and Kirk would be the Senator for two more years!

So I guess if the current Obamacare reform fails, will the Democrats blame Ted Kennedy?  :roflmao: :roflmao:

Was Brown elected for 6 years or just to fill out the remainder of Kennedy's term?

Remainder of the term. He'll be up for re-election in 2012.

Been thinking on this subject a little again.

Let's say for example the health care gets the boot once again. Shot down by both sides. Now let's say the dems want obama to run for his 2nd term. What do tyou think? My feeling is the only way he's gonna win re-election is to put people back to work. Sounds like it could be a possibility to me. Any other ideas on this?

Erkel is officially on tour....It even has a name "The White House to Main Street Tour".

All he can do is campaign, no leadership from him. His health care reform has been beotch-slapped by Massachusetts, so now it's on to something else, JOBS. He should have been working on THAT a year ago with the porkulus aka stimulus bill.

So now that he wants to campaign for jobs, .....how much will this cost? Hopefully less than the reported ~$250,000 per job of the stimulus, and where will he get the money.... uh huh....

 :roflmao: :roflmao:  that video!!

I thought a long time ago he would have had an easier time passing his socialist health care bill if he woulda took care of the economy 1st. But he didn't & now this is what he gets for trying to spend more $$ without having the income. And to think he gave the credit card companies hell for their tactics.   :rolleye:

That credit card reform bill Obama signed is how we get to carry concealed in federal parks now.  It was an amendment that got tacked on that credit card bill.  He hated to sign with concealed carry language in the bill but he hated the credit card companies more.

As soon as he sees an opportunity he'll go after America's guns with a vengeance.
