Title: Need a trusted gunsmith in my area
Post by: Hunt N Fish on February 01, 2010, 11:27:42 AM
Hopefully someone can recommend a gunsmith in central TN or west central KY that does good work and has the lathe needed to install a muzzlebrake. Any recommendations??

Read the subject & thought to myself there's a guy who probably considers his guns as his babies.
That's the way I feel at least.

If it's really important to ya you may want to send it out to some of the better g'smiths. Gordy Gritters comes to mind.

Thanks vvarmitr, your'e right, I baby my guns and don't want to have them worked on by just anyone. I looked Gordy up on the web, sent him an e-mail.

While I would love to help you out, my gunsmith is in northern Indiana - Mark Penrod of Penrod Precision.  He does excellent work, but is not close to you.

This guy did a really good job on my last rifle and got the job done when he said he would.
I highly reccomend him.
