I heard the wife snickering this morning as she read the morning paper??? Seems the local newspaper did an article about "HuntnCarve Dave". Well, there's my two seconds of fame. :laf: Thanks for looking!
HuntnCarve
Dave
Congrats Dave :yoyo: :highclap: :congrats:
Nice lil write up
Thats cool. I cant open the page but that is still cool.
Cool deal Dave!! You deserve all of the accolades heaped upon you. :yoyo: :yoyo:
Right on Dave :yoyo:Feel proud you deserve too :highclap: :highclap:. That was a good write up on you eh.

Could not have happened to a better fella...... :highclap: :highclap: :highclap:
Dave,
Nice write up, but I think they could have used some words like: Excellent, Extraordinary, Unbelievable, Lifelike, Awesome, Oh My, etc. They could have also described your "cat like" reflexes when making comments to your wife.
Jerry
And the HH1-HH2 hunting........the covered the carving :laf:
Thanks guys! When the young photographer came to the house to get some pictures, he wanted to take one of me in front of some calls I had on the front bookcase. He looked at me (grey in the beard), and asked if I was able to kneel down in front of the display??? Well the wife was in the other room, and overheard his question. She started laughing, and making "Old Man" comments under her breath! :noway: I did manage to kneel down, and most importantly, get back up! So the jokes on her!
Dave
That was a great article, Dave! :congrats:
Your top notch quality work speaks for itself in the calling community. Congratulations!!! :yoyo:

I agree - or maybe 'gotta have one in your hand to appreciate his work.'
Nice article Dave, but they got ya looking a little long in the tooth. :laf:
Nice Dave, Congrats :congrats: :congrats:

I agree that was a great article, Dave! :congrats:
You're a master craftsman, no doubt. Carved or not every call you make is a work of art. The only thing they forgot to mention is... how good they sound. :highclap:
good story Dave :yoyo:
Thats 2 seconds of fame well earned my friend !! Congrats ! :highclap: :highclap:
Jeb
That was awesome Dave, but they didn't say near enough about you. You deserve all accolades you get!! YOU DA MAN!!
Can I have your autograph Mr. Paul? :eyebrow:
:laf:
congrats on the article. you certainly deserve it.
Congratulations Dave. Everyone of my hunting buddies that visit our home always comment about your calls. Not only are they pleasant to look at but are also very functional. I don't put any call on the shelf unless it has called in a coyote or cat all the calls from you are on the shelf.
Way to go Dave!!
Once again, "Thank you all.." And JohnP, I'm honored to have some calls sitting on your shelf. But most importantly, that you added a few stories to them by using them the way they were meant to be used. :congrats: I've never made a call that I intended to be a "Shelf sitter". But in your case, I'll greatfully make an exception. LOL!
Dave
Thats cool write up Dave, and I'm happy to be a "HuntnCarve" follower. ;yes; (Is that code for pro staff?) :thumb2:

No, you don't get to be PRO STAFF till Dave says you are PRO STAFF.
Jerry
Dave,
Did that give me enough points to be a pro staff newbie?
:rolleye: @ poor lonely pro staffless yerry
:hahaha: :laf: :roflmao: :laugh2: :whew:
Jerry :roflmao:
Ya ain't a Pro Staff till ya get a hat. :readthis: :roflmao:

Cungretooleshuns Mr. Paul
Sorry folks, you won't find any Pro Staffers in my neck of the woods..Unless of course that means hauling freshly shot chucks from the Honey Holes over to Buzzard Ridge? Or driving deer out of the nasty multiflora rose thickets while HnC sits waiting patiently on stand? Then there's the gutting and dragging of deer from the field? Whats the saying? "Many apply, but few are chosen"... Actually, for me it's the other way around? I actually prefer the "Deputizing system" or "Field appointment". Ex. Say Jerry is hunting with me and I shoot a deer. Well, I can "Deputize" him on the spot to be a Pro Staffer [See above criteria]. :laf: Since I don't have any hats to give away, I'd let him wear mine. But first he would probably have to retrieve it from the multiflora rose patch where I lost it? Of course, he would probably loose his "Pro Staffer Deputy status" after he exclaims; "Bite Me!" I do have an image to uphold. :laf:

I noticed that didn't say GIVE him mine, so I guess after I am cut to shreds I have to give the hat back. After I have it professional dry cleaned to remove the blood stains of course.
Jerry
Jerry, you are quickly rising to "Deputized status"! :congrats:
