Post by: Bills Custom Calls on March 02, 2010, 08:47:11 PM
A feller keeps telling me I should bid on my own call
What do you all think of this

This poll ends Wednesday at 10pm EST

http://forum.finsandfur.net/index.php?topic=11489.0

I keep telling him I do have Ethics and it just wouldn't seem right,If the good folks on this board say go for it I will donate all funds to the FNF bank instead of Half like I posted in the auction

If'n you are going to put rules in saying no posting without bidding then you should have to bid to post. :confused:  If'n you buy your own call you can show it to everybody and tell us what a great call maker you got ir from ;yes;

If you like the call enough to want to own it then bid on it. But if you would rather one of your FnF brethren own it then don't. That makes it kinda hard for me to decide which way to vote cause I don't know if you want to buy this call or let a Friend here have it. Altho I do have a feeling you would rather someone else end up with this one so I'll help you out.  :wink:

I was gonna vote YES - If he wanted to, let'em. BUT, then I read about the mulie shed, flashlight, and money already owed to him and thought definitely NO. Then after some research found the straw boss under a bed getting ready to give the finger - or flip a booger to someone and decided to just stay away from this one all together.  :eyebrownod:

Here is what we're tailing about ...  [(copied & pasted from the original thread's first post) made by Bill BTW]

"all replies must have a bid in them until the auction is over ..."

So what we're saying is Bill makes these rules & then breaks 'em.  :shrug:

He'd make a great Administrator for another coyote hunting board I know of.

If Bill were to Bid...... It would seem to some that he were simply trying to raise the price.....Wither it be $$ for himself or the board it would be unethical.
And I understand why he wont......Most of us who post regularly are close enough to one another to understand why we are picking on one another but if Bill were to bid the folks who do not post ...yet keep reading the parts of the board they enjoy, and never see what happens behind the scenes.....Would think I'll of the situation.
I have gotten pm's to that effect before where someone was just not seeing the whole picture.
And Bill wanting to keep his ethics in tact is fine by me.

I think (I could be wrong, I often am) that Bill would really like to keep the call, but also knows that he needs the money.  After all, it is only 51 weeks till his MIL needs to leave for another cruise and Bill doesn't think it would be proper for her to miss the trip.  (That is the way Bill is, always looking out for others.)   With the money he makes from sales he can be sure that she will not miss the opportunity.

Yeah, now that ya mention it, I'm a lil suspicious when a fella won't even bid on his own call. Could be, us bidders are suckers?  :wo:

Al I understand your thinking :wink:. :wink:   On the other hand I think you would enjoy my attacks on anybody [not smart enough] to read through the fine print, Anyone who would dare attack Bills Integrity would think they stepped in a mine field of pooh.  Unlike other sites we are entitled to fun over here and that is what sets this forum apart from all the rest. :biggrin: :biggrin:
