I got to the gun show in Provost today and let dad talk for an hour while I waited like a squirrel that has drank 10 cups of coffee. Then we got to the profit river table and met this amazing man. Clayton Smiley

That grin on your face says it all. It was definitely worth the wait. Hope it serves you well Bob. The coyotes are in for it now!
I love that "Somethins about to get shot" grin B :eyebrow: B!!! :yoyo: :yoyo:
Congratulations & Thank You Clayton for helping Bob get his new rifle. :yoyo: :yoyo:
Allright Bob! Congratulations. Now get out there and start making memories.
Pat
That is just awesome Double D.
Question: Are ya going to anoint it w/ blood when it gets its first blood. Whenever I get that first kill w/ a gun that's new to me I take & dip my finger in the blood & smear it on the gun. (anointing the gun if you will) To me it's a reverence between gun & game & the acceptance of the gun doing what it was intended for for me. You don't have to leave the blood on it. You can wash it off once you get home.
Congratulations!! Glad you finally got it and I look forward to pics of it with FUR!!! :yoyo:
I didn't see any AR's, Barrett's, Glock's or 1911's in your gun show.
:yoyo: Been waiting for this post!!! Like Al said.... :corn: can't wait to see it over some fur!
Nope there was none of the above mentioned guns . On the other hand I did talk with guys who have shot quite a few coyotes this year and all with out them guns so maybe we don't really need them . Clay seems like a very nice person as well as a good business man, it was a pleasure to talk with him. He says he brings into Canada 4-12 or more guns a week so he knows his stuff. I did manage to gather up more .22 caliber bullets for reloading and Bob found a sling for his rifle with swivels for $25. I traveled this gun show circuit for ten years quitting about 11 years ago so I had to talk with a lot of old acquaintances[quite fun].
vvarmitr,
I have never heard of doing that to a gun but I always have liked trying different things.
I'm happy to see the rifle finally made it's way to you Double D.
Are you going to shoot off the shelf ammo, or reload for your new .243? We need to see some more pictures of you with your rifle. Maybe some pictures of you shooting it? Getting it on paper and ready to rock!
That's great Bob !!! Can't wait to see you put it into use !!
