MANCHESTER, N.H. -- Manchester officials said a World War II memorial in Veterans Park has been vandalized.
Officials said someone pried off gold-colored stars and cracked the corners of the panels bearing the names of the World War II veterans from the New Hampshire city.
Manchester Alderman Michael Lopez said he thinks the vandalism occurred within the past week.
Lopez said someone may have believed the stars were made of gold, but they were brass.
Lopez worked to get the monument built, and he said he's disappointed by the vandalism.
Police are investigating.
Not surprising when you consider there are currently close to 11 million Americans on unemployment right now.
It is kinda funny they got a handful of brass though :laf:
All scrap is up right now. One way to make money on a ford  Jimmie
Eazzzzzy!
