Title: March is my month
Post by: KillerCaller! on March 27, 2010, 11:37:27 AM
45 yards with shotgun on public land. Fur not worth a damn but felt good to get one on the ground this late. 3"  Dead Coyote dropped on the spot not even a flick of the tail. Only 4 more days of hunting on public land left so I thought I should get out before the fun ends. :eyebrownod:
I have my best luck in March for some reason...

March is a real good month :eyebrownod:
The yotes are real territorial, and denning up. And best of all a lot of the hunting pressure drops off after February.

Congrats on the harvest, ya gotta like it when everything falls into place.

Sure, but legend has it that they are all college educated at this time of year! They've heard and seen it all and carry a Bachelor's Degree to prove it...  :readthis:

Congratulations on your coyote.  We got plenty of educated idiots walking around campus and in DC why should a coyote be any different?

I didnt mean to make it sound like it was easy hunting or that they were all freebies this time of year. Their still tough hunting. I was just making a point that February is too early to hang it up.
