We went for a ride today to look for Turkeys. Man were we ever rewarded!!
There was approximately 64 Turkeys in this flock. They started moving away from us when we stopped. They were just off the road when we came over the crest & seen them at the last second. This pic is only part of them. There was 4 Toms strutting & 1 Jake strutting. There may have been more but that was all that were strutting.

Whaaaat whaaaaaat is there something in my hair? :laf:
Looks like a nice area. Can ya hunt it? :eyebrow:
We all know where Glen is going to try to get permission to hunt turkeys this year. Neat pics. Looks like the Robin might have made a small deposit on the forehead there.
Jerry
:laf: :laf: That is a funny picture.
The Turkeys I took the pic of & the cow are on 750 acres I hunted up til last spring when new people took over management of it. The other 60+ birds are on land that is in a trust & there is no hunting allowed outside of the immediate Family.
BTW-- These aren't even close to the BEST pics we got today!! :nono: :nono:

Then I won't bother commenting until we see the good ones, EH. :readthis:
OK, I saw the gooddddd ones and am quite impressed with them all :bowingsmilie:. Up here we'd of moved that bird off the cow at up to 300yds just for practice . Thanks for sharing your drive with me. :highclap:
Wow! You sure have a lot of turkeys in your country. Seeing those pics I'm such a western rifleman I'd sure druther shoot their heads off from across the field with a tack driving rifle than mess with a shotgun.
I'm glad you like em Barry!! You're one of the reasons I post em up here. I never know what I might post that other folks never get to see. Especially since I'm not sure about how well the red fox are doing in your area.
Okanagan-- We have a very healthy population here. Until season opens anyhow. :laf: :laf: I agree I wouldn't mind pounding one at 135yds with the HMR but calling them suckers into just a few yards is,, for me anyhow,, the ultimate rush!! I'm high for months after shooting one!! :yoyo: :yoyo:
Diane & I are glad you guys like the pics too.
Nice pictures, haven't seen that much green in a long time.
"13 Hens & 1 Tom" Reminds me of my younger days :eyebrownod:
:laf: :laf:
It's all green around here now John. The thing we have in common is the fact that in your pics I see more blue skies in a couple pics than I see here in some months so we're even huh?? Thank You as well. :eyebrownod: :eyebrownod:
You dreamed a lot as a kid John?
:laf:
More cool pix! Thanks Glen.
Thanks VV. I think we have more fun with that camera than we do the hunting rigs anymore. :nono: :nono:
Shhhhhhh! :nofgr:
Don't let that get out or everybody will be doing it. :pout:
:laf:
I hate having a Kodak moment & no camera. :rolleye:
I'm with you Glen. Having a gobbler up close and personal, then gobble or drum almost gives me heart failure. What a rush!
Thanks for the pics. You got the fever goin' in me.
Heck I like when folks post up the pics of their area. I prolly won't get to visit a bunch of the World so it's nice to see what others are able to enjoy. I would have been heart broken for Diane if we wouldn't of had a camera when we seen those Fox.
Glad I could help Mike!! Best of Luck in your Gobbler season!! :yoyo: :yoyo:
