Al and I are in a Mexican stand off. He will not accept any money for this call and I will not send him my address until he puts a dollar figure on it. The howler got here sometime during the past week while I was up in Phoenix. I tried it out this morning while sitting on the back patio having a cup of coffee. It sounds great, and I had a reply shortly after my first howl although not what I expected. The wife yelled out the window - "put that damn thing down it's only 5:30 and I was still sleeping!"
Not surprising he also sent along a closed reed antler distress call. The howler, like I said earlier is going to be leaving AZ as I got it for somebody else. However the distress call found a home here. It will go into the "Holding Pen" with Bill's call and Dave's Howler until this fall.
