Title: My sons Kansas gobbler(his 1st ever)
Post by: cathryn on May 02, 2010, 09:21:08 PM
im not sure but think i told ya'll we were headin to Kansas for a few days so Daniel could go turkey hunting.
he mannaged to bag this bird the first day out.

the beard wasnt huge but the turkey weighed in at 21 pounds.

it was his first bird but hes hooked.

it was amazing how many turkey we heard gobblin the next mowrnin.

here youre lucky to hear one in the mornin. there when the coyotes started howling in the early mornin the turkey took to gobblin, a BUNCH of turkey too.

he had a great time and i was real proud of him.

after we went to Kansas we dropped down to Fort Worth and vsisited my cousin then went to Louisianna for a few days fishin and turtle trappin.

we had a great time.

they missed 2 days of school but i think it was worth it cause they may never get the chance to go again.

Jerry, me, daniel and alexys went and had a great trip.
