I found this behind my neighborhood. The concrete structure in the left of the pic has a manhole cover on top of it. It looks like they went ahead and ran the sewer in plans to expand the neighborhood later as there are several of them in a straight line but only this one meter. It looks to measure water flow, any idea what it is for or why it's there?

Cool, thanks for the link. Guess I was right about the water flow being measured. Wonder why they are measuring this thing in the middle of the woods behind our neighborhood. :confused:
:wo: I'm wondering if they are trying to gauge the amount of rainwater flowing thru there to ensure the pipe is big enough to handle XX" of rain per hour. :shrug:
I'd open it up and go down in.
It's an entrance to the beginning of a long winding series of underground rooms and tunnels. Like in LOST. :yoyo:
