Title: Rare Aircraft Carrier Film WWII
Post by: Dave on May 13, 2010, 07:41:56 AM
Here's an email I rec'd I thought some of you may enjoy:

This is 16mm  color (not "colorized") footage, that you may not have  seen, of carrier
action in the  Pacific.

There wasn't  much color shot in the '40s - extremely expensive then, with a  complicated
and exacting  processing process.

This is from Marine and  (SFPD) retiree San Francisco PD motors and IPA Region-25  (Arizona) Associate Secretary to Australia, Richard  Ellis.

Semper Fi, and  enjoy my friends. You gotta watch this to the end. It is  fantastic.
