This week at work I had a clutch to put in a truck no problem before I get the parts for the first one a second one comes in it also needs a clutch this one is a county truck with a bunch of extras on it and a bigger tranny still no problem just gonna take a little bit longer but they want it back Friday :laf: shouldn't be a problem I start on the county truck Wednesday sent the flywheel out to get resurfaced and on Thursday discovered I got the wrong pilot bearing so that job is on hold and I go to the first truck and change the clutch in 6 hours done no problem and the parts come in for the second truck and when I open the box with the clutch kit in it looks wrong to me,when I say something to our parts women she gets on the phone and this idiot tells her he ran the numbers and that is what that truck takes. My reply Ok ,but thats not what I took out,put it in it is a better clutch, yeah right.I put this clutch in and 10 hours have went by and this truck is not done  Time to start the truck and make final adjustments. This truck will not move at all and no adjustment on this clutch it is suppose to be a self adjusting clutch.
Friday morning I go back over the instructions that came with the clutch and the one in english is the wrong set of instructions and the other set is in spanish :rolleye:
I get on the phone and call the feller who sent the clutch and he says he don't know nothing about this style but he will get me some info
I call 2 other parts places and both guys say what the hell did you put a SOLO clutch in for those are junk and you will probably have to change it again :doh2: :doh2:
The idiot that sold us the clutch called back and said it is the wrong clutch for that application. No Shit!
So that tranny came back out today and while I am pulling that one another truck pulls in and needs a clutch
I bet you can guess what Bill is dong at work next week :laf:
I could be wrong, but I am going to guess that you will be working on a CLUTCH.
