Title: Gotta love the Cherry...
Post by: Coulter on May 18, 2010, 06:37:27 PM
This one is sold...it was a request for a cherry slate w/ matching striker from a customer. I even went and designed a new striker for it.

I was wondering at first how well the feather striker would work  :laf: then I looked a little further and seen the wood striker

Nice job Steve

You got that right Glen...thats one of the best things about cherry...it just keeps on getting better.

The feather strikers a real delicate Bill, but they sound like they are all turkey :innocentwhistle:

Thank you everybody...I'm all out of cherry now  I used the last bit I had on this set. Almost time for another wood run

I have a number of trees that must be taken down because of that ice storm. They were not marketable to the mills. But short sections of these will turn out quality materials. By short sections , i Mean 8 foot or less.  There is a lot of cherry out there yet that I would hate to sell as fire wood. Jimmie
