Stumbled on these fellers today driving from one fishing hole to another. I dont know what it was about this field but there had to be at least 100 geese setting in it basking in the sun.
I drove by the biggest group half stunned and gawking before I decided, I better get a pic of this further down the road.
It got extremely hot and muggy here today and I can't imagine things being too pleasant out in the open field like this.

Then we got to our new fishing hole and this guy tried getting a lil fresh with me. :sad3: He came swimming over towards me like he'd known me forever. I actually had to wave the tip of my pole in his face and make stupid sounds to get him to get the "L" away from me. Boy that was weird.

:laf: :laf:
I was gonna take a pic of a bunch of baby geese here but I figured it wouldn't be very outdoorsy with the mall in the background. :rolleye:
Was that a Greebe . They are cool. The geese looked to be enjoying the heat. That big snow storm we had took it's toll on the little ones as I have seen six sets with only one little fella.
Jim,
I think that is an obama bird - black, all wet, and looking for a handout from someone that works!
Jerry
So they are doing this with their goose lings uh? I guess I never looked close enough or noticed that. I'm not much of a water fowler. So this is normal?
