Is anyone seeing the bass on their beds in their areas?
I'm actually beginning to think the weather and water has been so whacked out here that they are either done spawning here or they just flat out passed that stage.
And if they spawned it must have lasted a whole 2 hours cause I missed it all.
I keep checking but I think it's lookin grimmer and grimmer

Yeah you know like what you were told when you were 12 :readthis:. Then you waited through 12, 13, 14, 15 etc and it has happened for you right :wo:.
Yeah, but it's triggered by water temperature Al.
I would expect us to be a bit later then down there too because of that, but for my last 300 years the bass are well into their spawn on Mother's Day, right along with the Morels popping.
The Morels are history, have been for a long time, and the Mother's Day plant has done died and the vase washed up.
If spawning is triggered by water temperature how do stocked fish know this? I kinda thought that daylight hours had more to do with most animal movements than temps did . I mean up here where the critters change coats for the winter they do so regardless of temperature or snow cover :wo:.
in southcentral pa they are on em. last weekend we were up at the local pond fishing and all the bass were on beds.
Jim
Yes thing are a little late this year due to the cool spring we had. Fished a few ponds last week and the bass just moved off the beds but they are shallow so they warm faster. Was out on lake erie and it was 57 deg. and the bass where staging just off the shallows. So hang in there it will hit 65 deg mark with this warm weather we are having.
Our rivers have been so blown out by this rain that I figured the temps were still down a bit........ But I aint had time to get out there much anyway.
I saw bass on beds last weekend as well as this morning here in MI.
 Maybe all ours have bailed on the breeding program.
or.....I can't believe I didnt think of this before, maybe I caught them all. They're gone!...that's it, notta, none, zilch. dried up.

Ain't a thing wrong with bank fishing. A 225hp Ranger bass boat is nice but not really required. :nono:
