You wouldnt think Pennsylvania of all states would have a Bobcat lottery system
:congrats:But yeah that's great news.
Not only did they open up the bobcat season, we will also have a 6 day fisher trapping season for the first time in a loooong time. :yoyo:
Yep Steve AND....................... the second half of Spring Gobbler will be open ALL DAY, not just till noon.
I'd seen a fisher 2 turkey seasons ago and when I'd seen it I didnt believe my eyes so they're out there for sure !!!
I know you been waiting for that! :yoyo: :yoyo: :yoyo: :yoyo:
yeah the hound guys are not happy about this at all. the season is shorter though. starts mid december and goes till first or second weekend in january. I find it funny the hounders used the fact that the weather is terrible at that time of year but they need snow for them to find tracks to drop a dog on the trail. :doh2: once the snow flys up there the lil dogs stay on the porch. every mountian road in northcentral pa has snow mobilers on em and makes it hell to drive on.

That's good news! We have a season on them, but no lottery. When I use to work the railroad in Gawgia, that place was crawling with them. Saw more down there in a few months than I have ever seen here total.
I also know what ya mean on the Fisher. Our area WMA thought it would be a wonderful idea to reintroduce the Fisher about a decade ago. BAD move. I saw one of those buggers a few years back and had no idea what it was. I thought it was some sort of deformed otter slinking across the edge of the woods. Glad I didn't meet up with him first hand. I had an old timer tell me that they can be quite vicious. I don't know if they are or not, but I wasn't in the mood to find out. :nono:
