This is one of my TalisMan single reed duck calls with a little something extra burned onto the barrel by hand...

Little help here...why is that first pic all distorted

Dont know why the pic done that but the call is a beaut!!!!!! :bowingsmilie: :bowingsmilie:
Nice Job Steve :eyebrow:
:yoyo: Great looking calls Steve. I'd bet that the actual pic dimensions (928px × 422px) were to large so some fancy resizing thing-ama-jig that Jim has on here messed it up.... I think my mirror has started doing that too. :laf:
That's a piece of art.
John
WOW!!
Jim
Excellent! :congrats:
The man never sleeps I tell ya!! :laf: :laf: Very nice indeed Steve!!
Very nice Steve :congrats:
The picture...Brad nailed it. The server is set up to to dump any pics over 600x600, back down to at least that before posting them.
Anything bigger then that and it blows the sides out of our template here. But it's been set up like that for a long time. Looks like your original was 965×297, so yup, it knocked her down.

The Bopeye seconds that motion.
Looks good :yoyo:
:bowingsmilie: :congrats: Great looking call Steve! Excellent artistry on the barrel, a real prize for somebody!
you hand burn it ? very nice !!!! I had a couple burner kits growin up but I didnt do anything like that
Thank you very much guys...these are the kind of calls that I really enjoy making the most. Yep, all hand burned Vic. Not with the little deals you buy at the local craft store though. I use a Nibsburner w/ interchangeable points, dual heat controls, etc. I still snuck in my "NB" makers mark at the bottom of that standing snag too .
Jim, I'm not even gonna pretend to act like I understand what you just said :wo:
Hey Hamer...you remember those two little pieces pink ivory I picked up when you were up here...Just made a Talisman barrel out of one of them tonight and man oh man :thumb2:
I have to go back to the wood store tomorrow for an emergency wood run... It seems I got rid of all my spalted tamarind prematurely :doh2:
Steve
Thats a very cool call Steve, with an old school touch. Wood burning can tend to take calls in two directions, super and well....... :innocentwhistle: Yours looks like a super job Steve. It wraps around the barrel, there's plenty of detail in the burned image and its not over done in proportion to the call (I mean the wood burning doesn't consume your call.) :congrats: :congrats: Better translation...........Sweet!!!!!
Yeah! What Todd said! ;yes;
BTW I noticed the the NB ya snuck in there too.
Sweet!! Can't wait for the unveiling of that one!! :yoyo: :yoyo:
Thats a fine looking call :highclap:
