Title: Torture testing calls
Post by: Lonehowl on January 30, 2007, 08:47:51 PM
Hi all,

Ive always wondered how many callmakers do torture testing on their call designs.
What kind kinds of tests do you do?
Perhaps:

Water?
Freezing?
Microwave?
Water, freezing then microwave?
Letting a hunting buddy who has the worst equipment maintainance habits ever have some calls for the season? :iroll:
How extreme have you gotten?

Some of my calls have been torture tested. My 4 year old got ahold of a couple of calls and when she was done, believe me they had been torture tested for sure. Surprizingly they still worked. Brian.

I know what you mean! When my son was younger, he could tear up anything in seconds flat.
Except his Power Rangers action figures( not dolls ), those were treated with the utmost respect :iroll:

I know that feeling. My daughter thinks anything of mine is fair game, but if you even think about touching her Barbies you'll lose a finger. Brian.

Dogwood Creek sent me a call to try out. I took it out & got my first coyote w/ it on the first set. Then a year latter I did a torture test on it ... I left it in a shirt pocket. Yeap, it got washed & dried.  :rolleye:  Believe it or not it still looks & sounds great.
