Title: Have you ever seen a French Lebel?
Post by: Roundman on August 09, 2010, 05:50:43 PM
My ML gave me some old guns to hold for her. One caught my attention, it has set triggers and a cool old walnut stock.. I was unable to figure out what type of rifle it was, but a member of another site put me on the French Lebel. At some point it's been customized by a gunsmith. If you can believe what you read on the net it shoots a 8x60R. Anyone ever heard of such an animal?

I'm not for sure, but I think there is a 8x60 and a 8x50. It's just a cool old rifle.

Maybe the Mrs. will let you borrow her camera and we can see a picture of it.    I really do enjoy seeing older firearms.
